IF YOU ONLY USE THE FREE TOOL AT /COMPARE

• Nothing you type is stored. USDOT numbers and company names you enter are sent from your browser directly to the US Department of Transportation's public census API. They are never sent to Threadsignal's servers, never written to the page URL, and never included in analytics.
• Usage analytics as described below.

IF YOU CREATE AN ACCOUNT

• Your email address, used to sign you in and to send your weekly report.
• The metro you selected.
• Your own USDOT number, if you choose to enter it. Optional.
• The USDOT numbers on your watchlist.
• Your subscription status.

IF YOU JOIN THE METRO WAITLIST

• Your email address and the metro you asked for, so we can tell you when it opens. Nothing else, and no account is created.

Sign-in is passwordless. We email you a one-time link. We do not store a password because there is no password.

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's own systems and never reach Threadsignal. We store only the subscription status Stripe reports back. Your card statement reads WALDENARY* THREADSIGNAL. Stripe's own privacy policy governs what Stripe collects.

We use Google Analytics. When you view a page, Google receives your IP address, your browser's user agent string, the page address and a cookie identifier. What Google does with that data is governed by Google's own privacy policy. We also record a page-hit event of our own carrying the page address, user agent, browser language and a session identifier stored in a cookie. Our server necessarily receives your IP address, as any web server does. We do not sell your data. We do not currently honour the browser Do Not Track signal.

Pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address and browser information when a page loads.

Carrier information shown anywhere on this site comes from the FMCSA Motor Carrier Census and SAFER, published by the US Department of Transportation. It is public record data about businesses, not data we collected about you. Threadsignal is not affiliated with FMCSA or the US DOT.

Account data stays for as long as your account is open. Ask us to delete it and we remove your email address, metro, USDOT number and watchlist. Waitlist entries are kept until the metro you asked for opens, or until you ask us to remove yours. Analytics data held by Google is subject to the retention setting on that Google Analytics property. Billing records held by Stripe are subject to Stripe's own retention.

Email contact@waldenary.com and we will export or delete your account data. Deleting your account removes your email, metro, USDOT number and watchlist. Billing records held by Stripe are subject to Stripe's own retention.

Threadsignal is a business tool and is not directed at anyone under 18.

If this policy changes we update the date at the top. We do not currently send email notifications about policy changes, so check back here.
